MAIS UMA FINA IGUARIA DE PAULINHO GARCIA 

De fato, não há muitos reais candidatos ao título de "legítimo seguidor das pegadas de João Gilberto" no panorama internacional da música brasileira. Entre estes pouquíssimos estão duas mulheres, a carioca Joyce e a baiana Rosa Passos (cultuada dentro e fora do Brasil como "João Gilberto de saia"). 

As duas são de primeiríssima grandeza, nomes estabelecidos e tal. Mas tem um cara que está lá, no mesmo nível de competência, qualidade, suavidade, etc e tal. Esse "cara" é o mineiro Paulinho Garcia, imensamente respeitado e cultuado entre músicos, críticos e seguidores mais apurados da MPB no exterior. Mas ainda sem a visibilidade e o reconhecimento à altura de seu talento e contribuição à MPB. Expressos numa sequência de excelentes CDs e impecáveis apresentações ao vivo, mundo afora.
